Reall, the international funding partner of LinkBuild, conducted a weeklong visit to the Philippines to monitor and gather updates on institution’s activities and programs. Several workshops were carried out with LB and its other Philippine Alliance partners from December 5 – 10, 2016, discussing particularly LinkBuild’s capacity as a Housing Development Enterprise in crafting its own products and securing its niche in the market.

Octobor 31, 2016 - The regular bi-annual Reall Stakeholders’ Group (RSG) meeting was held in the U.K., at a very relaxing and peaceful conference venue on the outskirts of Leamington Spa town, not very far from the Reall offices in Coventry. In this meeting, LinkBuild was represented by its Board President, Marlon Palomo; its Executive Director, May Domingo Price; and its Senior Finance Officer, Grace Go.
In the months of November and December 2016, twelve units of transitory houses were constructed at the site of LinkBuild’s future housing project in Sitio Caniba, Talisay City, Cebu. The units are now occupied by ten families who are members of the Kimba Cansojong Homeowners Association, Inc. (KCHAI), with the remaining two units being used as satellite office of the Homeless People’s Federation Philippines. The ten families had to dismantle their existing houses in order to clear the access road to the landowner’s other property located behind the site.
Dec. 23, 2016 | The last seven qualified clients of the USWAG Core Housing Project received the keys to their new houses in a turnover ceremony facilitated by LinkBuild and the Homeless Peoples Federation Philippines Inc. (HPFPI). The event was held at the HPFPI Site Office in USWAG Subdivision, Brgy. San Isidro Jaro, Iloilo City.
A team from LinkBuild and from Homeless People’s Federation Philippines (HPFPI) held several workshops and activities in Talisay City with their partner community, the Kimba Cansojong Homeowner’s Association (KCHAI). This is the second major stage of an ongoing process of jointly working with KCHAI to find sustainable solutions towards owning the land they have occupied for around 30 years, and having decent houses.
